I've spent the last 25 years making movies with my writing partner, Jon Lucas.

We love writing comedies (well at least we think they're funny)—The Hangover, Bad Moms—stories about people making questionable decisions and somehow surviving them in an 

entertaining way. Bringing stories to the screen is a dream come true for me, but,

in a surprise plot twist, I managed to find time to write a novel and, in a bigger surprise

Simon & Schuster wants to publish it. (I keep waiting to hear there's been a mistake.) ​
